Congratulations on the well merited accolade you received at the presentation of the Spanish edition of your book, “The Caribbean, Dependence, Integration and Sovereignty.” I noted, with particular satisfaction, Tania García’s comment on the transdisciplinary nature of your analysis, and her affirmation that such an approach is the only way to achieve a holistic view of reality. I would hope that more Caribbean scholars adopt a transdisciplinary approach to their work on issues concerning the region.
