New World and its Critics

A personal account of the origins and early history of the New World Group from the standpoint of the author’s own participation followed by analysis of the content of New World thought and of its applications to various spheres of Caribbean life. Examines critiques of New World thought made by contemporaries and discuss the reasons for its eventual loss of influence and the decline of the New World Group. The final section reflects on the legacy of New World thought and its relevance in the era of globalisation.
