it would appear that this trade pact with the EU has proved to be a far cry from what was promised all along – a commitment and adherence to a treaty embracing trade and development. In the short term, while Caribbean entertainers and other categories of cultural workers may benefit from a formal agreement for access to EU countries, (the entrenchment of a privilege we already enjoy), we await specifics on what will be the resultant benefit to our cultural industries in this agreement with the Europeans….
