The essence of Maya Angelou, Olive Senior, Derek Walcott, Patrick Chamoiseau, and other writers seem to fill Jasmine’s studio. She draws from them the beauty and complexity of their musings on place and the sublime, translating, reinterpreting, and shaping their words into her own language. (Melanie Archer)

Thanks for sharing Jasmine’s work. It has blown me away. Incredibly beautiful and powerful…to be working with such hope and optimism in the current TT calls for digging deep within the true Caribbean/African spirit to excavate, memorialize and celebrate the best of us. I am totally humbled and in awe of her work. …as noted in the artricle, “We speak about the SoE, the violence and guns, but also the ability to feel joy in typically sad situations.” Indeed, this is what we must strive for, and Jasmine’s work fills me with hope. inspiration and pride.
